Beginner Blacksmithing (1-2 Students)

Learn what it’s like to be a blacksmith! In this two-hour course, we will go over safety, tools/equipment, blacksmithing fundamentals, and you will make your very own coat hook!
Bring a friend! Two students can forge their hooks at the same time.
This class is mandatory if you would like to participate in more advanced classes.

Fundamentals of Bladesmithing

Required: Beginner Blacksmithing Class
Forge a “blacksmith’s knife” in this extensive class where we will learn heat treatment, fire control, how to work with high carbon steel, sharpening/honing, and more!

30-Hour Blacksmithing Course

Required: Beginner Blacksmithing Class
For students who are serious about the craft. In this ABANA (Artist Blacksmiths Association of North America)-inspired course, we will go over everything from fire maintenance and nail making, to hand-tool sculpting and bladesmithing. Projects include hooks, leaves, nails, your very own blacksmithing tools, a fire poker, a knife, and more! By the end of this course, you will be a seasoned beginner blacksmith.
